This is a bilingual legal information guide created for men and women serving a federal sentence in Canada.  The pamphlet is an information tool destined for incarcerated persons who are subjected to a stay in segregation in a Canadian penitentiary.

This publication contains information on the legal rules of preventive and disciplinary segregation, the obligations of the institutions regarding segregation, and the recourse available to the inmate in the event that his or her rights are abused or not respected.  For more information on the content of this pamphlet click Table of Contents.

The conceptualization of this guide is the fruit of the implication of many volunteers as well as the generous financial contribution of the Congrégation des Soeurs de Sainte-Anne.
